Inappropriate?Required terms are mandatory, which means they must be present in each piece of content that is returned. Relevant words effect the ranking of results and are highlighted, but are not mandatory. Excluded terms, if present, will remove that content from the results. All content sources should return results that accurately reflect the query specifications.

Inappropriate?More importance is given to posts with relevant words from within the Blogs view. However, I should have been clearer - relevant words are not always acknowledged the same way when searching comments/Twitter/photos/videos. Only Required and Excluded words are absolutely considered for each of these sources, and each content source has different rules and exceptions for relevant terms. If you are interested in the rules for individual sources (Flickr, for example) let us know.

Inappropriate?yes , I am interested in the rules for individual sources.
Thanks. -
Inappropriate?Hello Narendra: What we do when we query an external API, for instance Flickr or Smugmug, is try to map the logic of your query to the options available in each individual API. The logic available by source API is constantly changing per the specs made available fo the developer community. For instance, Flickr allows us to use Boolean logic such as "MSFT or Microsoft," whereas Smugmug doesn't allow that. You can read the specific query used with the service right off the search results page. Here's an example: "30 most recent photos matching social media (No photos found for scout labs AND Zeszut)."
