.Air Update files Launch Logic's WaveBurner software
Apple Logic Studio owners, when attempting to install Twhirl updates, which are .air files ... it may laucn the WaveBurner application instead. The only way I've resolved this is by dragging the WaveBurner (logic) application into the trash, then double-clicking on the .air file, executing the upgrade, and then dragging WaveBurner out of the trash, and back into the Applications folder.
Not sure why WaveBurner launches with a .air file.

Inappropriate?Another way to solve this is to make a file (any file, doesn't matter what's in it) have a name ending in .air. Right- (or control-) click on the file, choose Get Info. One of the sections in the window that comes up should be labeled "Open with:" Change the program there from WaveBurner to "Adobe AIR Application Installer." Now everything should be great.
This has the advantage that now *ANY* air file you try to use or install will work properly. -
Thanks - this worked for me -
Inappropriate? This doesn't solve it for me, sure .air files will open with Adobe AIR Application Installer now, but Twhirl's update routine still runs WaveBurner. Perhaps there's another OSX setting I need to try to stop WaveBurner running .air files? Any ideas?
