Better support for all *nix systems using KDE, Gnome or XFCE.
Support for X11 desktop environments like KDE, Gnome and XFCE. Docking into the KDE or Gnome panel to hide it from the taskbar would be great.

Inappropriate?Hi Damien, thanks for your feedback... I think most of this will require work from Adobe AIR before Twhirl can contribute. But we'll update this thread if we hear anything new.

Inappropriate?with ubuntu and xfce install works, but nobody can use it:
Unkown desktop manager((null)), only Gnome and KDE are supported

In a quick search around the web, it doesn't look like anyone has had luck with Adobe AIR and xfce. If I hear of any updates, or if anyone gets it compiled to work, I'll update the thread -
Inappropriate?I agree that better Linux support is needed. A lot of people are turning to Linux apps (such as KDE Plasma applets or Gnome applets) instead of Twhirl.
It would be very helpful if there were developers working towards Linux versions of this product such as a GTK version. Or even just better Linux support via AIR, such as with the notify-osd package in Ubuntu and those who install it in other environments -- just like Growl on Macs.

Inappropriate?Another problem: When I try to save a twthirl configuration e.g. disable spell check the Save button not work. The same with others buttons.
