I'm not able to update to v.0.83
I've tried it several times. See the screenshot:
Sorry that it's German, it just installed this way. I translate:
"Unfortunately an error occurred.
The application couldn't be installed, as the AIR-file is defective (!).
Please ask the author of the application for a new AIR-file."

I don't really get the whole thread you linked, but anyway:
I'm just currently wondering, as I see now twhirl is on v.0.83! *lol*
Concerning the new thwirl behaviour, I've one question:
I just don't find the "hide old messages from previous sessions" option or anything like that anywhere in my settings, can you help me with that?!
(Nothing like that in the "General" tab...German version!...)

there's nothing like that in my German version! Although I know it was there in v.0.80 and v.0.81 if I'm right! Then I didn't find it again and was wondering if I'm stupid. *lol*

Maybe check with Marco or other German twhirl users?? I'm wondering if I'm the only German user with this problem? As said, I doublechecked all option menus.

Inappropriate?I've got the same problem. I deleted Adobe AIR 1.1. and Twhirl and tried to reinstall. I can't install Twhirl at all because of message that Adobe AIR is defective.

I'm running Vista on my HP desktop. Interestingly, I've got Windows XP on my Thinkpad and the latest version of Twhirl is working well on it. Over the weekend, I copied the Twhirl files and moved them to my desktop. Twhirl seems to be working well, but it's in my documents file rather than programs file. Don't know if any of this is a problem. Comments?

Thanks for pointing that out, I looked again and realized I still had the old twhirl up for testing. The *new* location for notifications on old messages can now be found right at the top of the Notify tab.
