Seesmic is invisible and unusable to me!

I start seesmic, but I can't see it. I don't get Growl-style notifications either, there's nothing I can click on. Tried reinstalling Seesmic, that worked until the next time I turned the computer on. Tried reinstalling Adobe AIR, but no joy. I'm using Mac OS X 10.4 on a MacBook Pro.
