Need help successfully sending voice comments from my phone

I tried leaving voice comment replies via my phone last night but they never arrived to my friends. I called the number, put the correct code in, heard their intro, left my comment, then hung up. How do I complete leaving a voice comment? Do I need to press # or some other number to save/send the message?

  After you've recorded your voice comment, you have the option to review your comment or "SAVE". To save, press "1".
  
  Also, if your friend has their voice comments set to "PRIVATE", your voice comment will have to be approved by them first in order for your comment to be seen.
