CHAT FEATURE

It worked once a couple of days ago on my site, that was it though. I haven't connected with anyone other than that time. I thought it was because people haven't updated their flash yet, but now I see there is a problem with chat.

I only have about 15 members of one of my sites and it showed that at least 6 of them have been on all day, all night into the next day when I know for a fact that some of them haven't. Especially the way the site has been booting people off lately.

I ́d tried with two Computers, I was on-line with different accounts and the CHAT SIMPLY DOESN ́T CALL THE OTHER PERSON... MOST OF THE TIMES FAILS THE CONECTIONS, AND STILL RINGING! Sometimes the screen fades to black, but in all screen it isn ́t the option to answer the call.

And the problem remains!

Chat feature still isn't working on transdivine.com. Tested from two different computers this evening.

will webe able to use who im in free networks social go ?

still not working: rings on the other computer, he answers and starts to ring on my computer; the invitation to answer appears again to the other, he answers again "yes" and the window opens, but only on his computer, not on mine; tested with different people on different pcs

I agree with Dorinb. Its not working AGAIN!!!! Frankly its getting to be a joke. If you cant make it work then take it away until it does work. Colin makes a fair point, this was tolerable when it was a free network but since you guys started charging the idea that you might get around to it sometime is no longer acceptable.

Some changes: chat working better, but still takes a lot until connection established.
Video working reasonable
Audio is a disaster, echoes and big noise, cannot use it.
Tested on different computers,with different people.

I understand that you have, probably, some technical problems with, but I agree with Leatherlon - better to take it away until you solve all problems.

In our Site http://clubeglamour.socialgo.com the Chat feature don ́t work at all. We tried with 2 computers side by side lots of times, and with the internet Explorer 7 (SP2) and Safari 4 public beta (528.16)

I’m near to collapse to creating my network. I spend a lot of my time for trying to create my networks and hoping that SG will fix 2 main features of audio/video chat and language translator/editor. While I’m waiting for you to fix these features there appear many web sites which are same to one which I want to create. I’m already late.

I was very optimistic about the future of my network. The opportunity for network members to chat by audio and video was the most attactive feature for me as network creator. But if audio video chat feature doesn’t work, all my effort devoted last months will become nothing/complete failure. My network members got very passive because the chat feature doesn’t work. I reported SG about the language editor updating problem but SG is saying that they can’t tell me specific dates when it will be fixed. How long I will waste my time hoping that SG will fix them?

Is it possible to embed any webchat into my network in the way that members of my network can talk to each other directly from my network? Preferably, no pop-up box or not to go to another chat. If neither of these options are possible. What can be other solution?

I embedded userplane webchat (webmessenger 2) in my network. It works fine but it is very complicated to use and it is like pop-up box, it is not easy for english learners to understand how to use.

Is meebo or tokbox better ? Is there any tutorial or guidance or example of network which apply them?

Are members of my network able to talk to each other without me/when I'm off-line if I embed "Tokbox" in "Ads&custom HTML box of my network ?

While I talk to someone, can other people talk to each other?

With TokBox, a member can "join" TokBox in general after visiting your page or anyone else's on your network. There is also an awesome AIR application that one can download so that TokBox is "always" available regardless of whether you are browsing (like Skype) on a site.

The result is that your members can build their own "networks" of friends they meet on your site, and then any one of them can also have a tokbox "page" that they can use on your site as a basic link in their member profile. Whenever one or two or more friends want to have a fun video conference, you they can quickly or easily start up a new "room" on the fly, or start with their own room then add "friends" or "strangers" to come into the room.

It is all very dynamic and flexible... so almost sky is the limit.
