Manually change the Sign In password ?
Is it possible to manually change/overide an existing password for a profile? Suggesting a password reset is not an option in this circumstance. Thanks

Inappropriate? While we can reset admin account passwords - member passwords can only be changed by the members themselves

Inappropriate?and what if they provide a nonsense email address and then can't remember their password? their is no valid email address to send the password reset?
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Hmm, Shawn, if your members sign up with a non-sense email address, that is their own problem. It would be nice to be able to set user passwords, though.
What you could do, I think, is access your network via the API and write a new password for the user. If I remember correctly, SocialGO writes their passwords to database with PHP's md5() function. So if you came up with a password, say Password01, when you ran it through the md5() function, it would come out as "797cb93f8b1159e6dc68b2b7fddd6c55" which is what you would write as the user's password. The user should then be able to log in with their fake email and the new password, Password01.
By far the simplest way is for your user to use a real email address... -
Inappropriate?Hi folks,
Yes, it's true, you can use the API to set/reset a Member's password should you wish to write an interface to do this yourself.
Alternatively you can use a small Adobe Air app to do this for you. Checkout this blog post: http://owners.socialgo.com/members/pr...
We are also adding the ability for owners to reset their members' passwords using the Admin Center. This should be on its way to owners very shortly.
Hope this helps,
Mike -
Inappropriate?Ok, this feature is now accessible from the Admin Center, so you can now reset your Members' passwords from your Admin Center.
