Password Reset Problems
My users on http://www.bmorehacks.com have not been able to rest their passwords using the forgotten password links. They say that when they follow the steps and links they end up back at the homepage.

Inappropriate?Hi Mcollier. The final step is that an email is sent to their account (as stated in the onscreen message) with the new temporary password.
They need to check their email AGAIN the last step to get this new password. Read the message and copy the new temp password which they will then be able to log in using. -

Inappropriate?Its still seems to be a problem as the administrator of a new account The Dumaguete City Network, I am trial running, my orginal password will not let me in. I set up a user account and guess what the same problem. Both on trying a reset no email with the new password is sent out by your server.
Very confusing as I have had to work out how to contact you to notify you of this beta problem. This however has not put me off of your product. Hopefully you will sort out the problem shortly, so that I can assesss if your software is right for the many social ex-pat and tourist based social network I will be setting up in the Philippines.

This is most definitely down to Spam filtering, we've had reported problems with some major email providers where people aren't getting their password reset emails.
If you're still experiencing problems, feel free to contact support@socialgo.com where the team can reset your password manually.1 Comment Add a comment

I am on gmail as far as I know I have never listed your company for spam I have checked my spam folder absolutely nothing. I change from yahoo.com a while ago to get away from the spam and the gmail account is not that old and very little spam. So that can not be the problem.

your using perl cgi, the script normally do such things when something is not right, but it a long time ago that I played with such things, but I remember how fiddlerly they can be.

Mike logical that means its a script problem concerning the reset password and a problem of not remember or not matching properly the password on opening an account.
Look can you guys you please let me know when it's all ironed out.
I am trying the reset password every day and hope to see it sorted out shortly so i can do a complete review of your software as it seems to have better offerings than vBulletin.

Inappropriate?My problem solved concerning my account as a user. But my account as administrator is also using my same email address, should these both be different? as I am still havin a problem of getting my reset password for admin accounts. I suspect thats the problem.
