We are aware that Songbird currently displays the url encoding of spaces in filenames. We are planning to fix this in a future release. To track the comments on this work item:
1. Go to the "people" box in the upper right hand corner of bug #8914;
2. Add your email in the "add cc" box;
3. Scroll down and hit commit.

Inappropriate?This should definitely be given more priority. It says there was a response 5 months ago, but this is a very minor thing, and many far more complicated things have been implemented since then. I would recommend fixing this (and other similar polish/usability things) before adding new complex features.
I would like to point out that I do realize the program is free, and am grateful it exists at all. I simply think that if its trying to be a popular mainstream app, polish and usability are really key.
I’m tired of waiting so long for a minor fix.

Thanks, that is really valid feedback. We do our best to prioritize and pick and choose between maintenance fixes, usability and the new features that keep us relevant and evolving. It's a tough balancing act with so much to do and we really do rely on our users to help define our priorities.
