album art doesn't display on ipod (ipod classic)
I have Songbird 1.1.2 on Ubuntu Jaunty with a 120gb ipod classic. I deleted my existing profile and let songbird create a new database, ran an album art search and most of my music has album art from within the songbird view. I then wiped the ipod and let it sync with the new database.
I still do not get album art on my ipod. I've tried plugging it into a windows machine running itunes, deselecting the 'show album art on ipod' option which ejects the ipod and forces a re-sync when plugged into my linux laptop with songbird, still with out album art.
this worked with any existing .jpgs in an album's folder before the 1.0 release and has been broken ever sense. when is this going to actually work?

Inappropriate?Currently album art is not supported. The iPod extension needs a little love, although I'm not aware of any concrete plans for this work....

Inappropriate?why is it currently not supported when it _was_ working? whats the point in having a fancy album art fetcher that writes the images to the metadata if songbird can't even transfer them?
I’m thinking this is the pits

Inappropriate?I believe there were some problems where the album art was totally messed up, and so they removed it. I'm not sure that's the reason though.
