Disable Web Browser in Songbird for Security
Is there a way to disable the web brower in Songbird?
I realize that the browser is an integral part of Songbird, it offers "convenience" (arguably), and is probably part of some marketing strategy... but I want to disable it for security reasons.

Inappropriate?Oh, you made an extra thread for this. I've seen this too late, so allow me to just repeat my answer from the other thread:
Any browsers security-holes don't affect your computers security, if you don't visit websites. So if you don't use the songbirds browser and no add-ons, you are as save as if the browser would be disabled.
Besides this, Songbird uses the latest Firefox-Code (3.0.10), which is considered to be very save, even if you are visiting bad websites. So it's not more dangerous to surf with Songbird, than to surf with Firefox (one of the most secure browsers).
But if you don't believe me, or you want to be 200% secure, just block Songbirds internet-connection via your Operating Systems Firewall.

PS: I was very concerned about the integrated browser in songbird at the beginning, too. "Why the hell would I need another browser? I'm fine with Firefox!". But after some month of using Songbird, I became a fan of this feature. Now I do things, I would never have done without Songbird: I discover music, enjoy the Last.fm integration, get information about the songs and artists I'm listening to. I would NEVER have thought, I would do or need these things, but it turned out, it's a lot of fun. I can only advise the people: try it for some weeks or month.
