Ipod won't play after syncing
After syncing my Ipod to Songbird, the tracks show up on the ipod but most of them won't play. The song simply sits at the 0:00 mark and won't start. If I search the songs enough I can find some albums that will play but most don't. I am running Ubuntu 8.04, Ipod classic 80GB. When I first synced the ipod it said it was already synced to another device and asked if I wanted to delete the library before syncing, I said YES to that question.

Inappropriate?Hi BIGG-22,
Going through our posts we saw that your comment/question fell through the cracks. Doh! We hope you've found the solution in other Get Satisfaction threads. Or perhaps figured it out by exploring Songbird further yourself. We suggest you update to the most recent nightly build which has many fixes and should resolve your problem.
If you still need help, just give a chirp back! We are here to help.
Again, sorry about the delay in our response!
I’m apologetic

Inappropriate?I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 and have a 6th Gen iPod Classic (120 GB) and I've found that I cannot sync my entire library (almost 45GB) to the iPod and have it play it. It will show the number of songs but not any playlists, artists, albums, etc.
I'm still confirming this, but if I make a playlist that is not larger than 17GB, and only sync that to the iPod and be playable. -
Inappropriate?I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 and have a 5th Gen iPod Classic (80 GB) and I've tried restoring it with either Floola or Banshee media player after loading with Songbird all with no success.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I've continued to play with syncing and I've gotten it to work. I started by putting small playlists only on the ipod and then slowly adding larger and larger playlists. I was then able to cross the 17GB threshold and have 40+GB on my ipod.
I recently created a playlist with an ' in it (kid's birthday playlist) and after syncing, it wouldn't play. I removed the ' and renamed the playlist (kids birthday playlist) and it would play again.
i've also noticed if I first use the Shuffle songs menu option (the one to play on Random) it will update the song count...
Start small and work your way up is my suggestion.
