Official Kanye / Jackson 5 release for October?

I'm crossing my fingers! I'm really hoping that the new releases start focusing heavily on making the program quicker, more efficient and less resource intensive. How great would a really FAST Songbird be?! Well here's hoping for speed and a release date in the very near future.

I have to admit it, this release is very fast!
I can feel again the fun of scrolling my library in search of lost artists
now I'm gonna test the other features too :)

edit: still broken ipod support but hey, it is so promising that i can wait a bit more ;)

it says windows 7 is not supported, but im running 1.2 now, and it works fine... will this version work fine as well?

supported mean if there is an OS issue there is no support behind.

Thanks for the link but I'm going to hold out for the official release as described on the roadmap. Waiting without knowing is killing me! Not just here either; I'm waiting to hear more about the HTC Passion! Please drop soon SB, I can't take all the waiting!

When is Songbird 1.4.0 going to be released??????

First week in November rises and falls and 2nd week begins without an final release of the promised 1.4 in October. I'm starting to think I need to stop getting my hopes up and explore other options. Unless I hear some news soon, I think my check-ins with songbird are going to be yearly instead of daily/weekly/monthly.

But I agree with you all. It's no fun, checking the website every day, waiting for a new release and being left totally uninformed about how things go on (don't tell me, the wiki.../Releases page is the information we're searching for – there is nothing about this on the roadmap).

Oh! I though nobody would ask for it. Where's really the final, guys?

Can anyone appoint me a stable intermediate version between 1.2 and 1.4 final release? I'm getting nutty with this 1.2, cause its too buggy.
