Recognize ratings/stars from other players
It seems that there are two differents kinds of ratings in the metadata but unfortunatly, songbird doesn't recognize all my stars. I have a large music collection rated with media player and with the useful vista explorer :D . It is so easy to rate your songs with the vista explorer but these stars are not admit by my favorite player.
That should be fine if songbird import or take care of these lost stars :)

Inappropriate?Ratings from other players or Windows explorer will not transfer over to Songbird. Ratings in Songbird are unique to each Songbird profile.
That's the way it works right now.
We have feature suggestion filed in our bug tracking system which might be implemented in future releases.
You can track the comments on this work item by:
1. Going to the "people" box in the upper right hand corner of Bug #6897
2. Add your email in the "add cc" box
3. Scroll down and hit commit.

This is one of the treads which was marked with "The company implemented this idea." when this feature didn't work correctly on GetSatisfaction.
I believe, the other threads where cleared up already.
I'm going to let the person in charge to fix this one as well.

Inappropriate?There is an add-on that allows the importation and exportation of ratings, but I'm not sure if other programs let you export... so it may not help too much -

Inappropriate?G'day, I saw a mailing list post the other day which suggested that Songbird was collaborating to utilise a standard ratings format with other players (probably POPM). Not sure where its at, but they do seem to be attempting to collaborate.
