Songbird Toolbar for Taskbar?
Hey, Can someone create a add-on or something for Songbird, where you could have a toolbar on your taskbar, like how you can have one for Windows Media Player and stuff... I've added a picture below for an example...

Inappropriate?Ltay,
Your picture didn't make through.... -
1 person thinks
this is one of the best points

Inappropriate?Oh, i see what you're saying...
Do you mind the name of the add-on in WMP?
I've had a trouble to find one.
Thanks. -
Inappropriate?Well, on WMP, there isn't really a name for it because it's not really an add-on... you just right-click on the taskbar, then go to toolbars, then there should be one for WMP if you look carefully.
-
Inappropriate? You can also do this in iTunes without plugin.
Winamp requires a plugin in called 'Winamp Desk Band'
-
Inappropriate? That is a great idea for an addon. If I knew how to write programs, i'd do it myself
-
Inappropriate?Glad to see that this is alive... somewhat...
We really need some programmer to add this :D -
Inappropriate?I was about to suggest this idea as well. It's the only reason I use WMP right now - skipping songs/pause with just 1 click.
-
Inappropriate?Yeah i agree, this would be a nice add-on.

But you can also use global hotkeys (I myself ignored the way keyboard to long.)
I think once you start using them you will realize they improve life
-
No global hotkeys for Mac users yet though *sniff sniff* -
Inappropriate?Hey all,
Mike M created a very simple but neat taskbar app for Windows that uses Global Hotkeys...

its pretty sweet..
1. Download it.
2. Extract the contents.
3. Run a Command Prompt with Administrator privileges.
4. Navigate to the directory where it is located (i.e. cd C:\Users\USERNAME\Desktop)
5. Run regsvr32 dbmmbuttons.dll (If running a 64bit OS, Run "regsvr32 dbmmbuttons_x64.dll" ).
6. Restart explorer.exe or Windows.
7. Right Click on the Taskbar, Select Toolbars > DBMM Buttons.
And you're in business.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate? It might also be neat if you could have player controls in the menu bar of OSX like this program does for iTunes: http://www.yousoftware.com/tunes/
A program called CoverSutra even lets you search and play a song from outside of the main window: http://sophiestication.s3.amazonaws.c...
Though with Songbird, it could probably just have a button or global hotkey to bring up the jump-to-file dialog so you could play a song without having to open the main window. -
Inappropriate?Any news on this? It's a great idea and I would love to see this in Songbird!
I’m happy
