Spaces in filenames show up as %20

well, yeah .. i know that .. it's getting urlencoded and all, but i want to avoid this

take the Audacious music player (on Linux) for instance, it has an option: "Convert %20 to blanks", and also a related one: "Convert underscores to blanks"

i recall WinAmp on Windows used to have something similar too

From a programing perspective this would not be hard to implement. Any well writen program should show the user a link or file adress as they would see it or type it in the file system. Its similar to saying windows explorer shows file paths like C:/MyDocs/Songs/.... and expects you to type in a command prompt as C:\MyDocs\Songs\... It really should show song names as C:\MyDocs\cool song one.mp3

According to the bugzilla bug posted, they will be fixing this when they rewrite that section of code.. I'd imagine thats sooner rather then later..

This is now fixed and will be in the Led Zeppelin release!

any word on when ? (this might sound odd but it's really a deal maker or braker for me - a feature itunes doesnt have that i really cannot live without)

Led is expected in February. I can confirm that it seems a fix has been added to the repo (I haven't personally tested it though).

However, like any good software, 1.5/Led will be released when its ready. 1.4 is just around the corner though (or should be)
