Audio books has been discussed. Our first goal however is to ensure that music playback is done right, then we can start to think about other potential features.

Books out of copyright such as 1984 and Alice in Wonderland, could be on Spotify Free - since they are free to download already, but then Audio books in copyright like Harry Potter etc. could be on Spotify Premium.
I’m happy

If you do add more audio books I would like a bookmark feature. Some audio books have tracks that are 10+ minutes long, if I stop in the middle of a track because I feel like listening to music I don't want to have to search through the track to find the point where I was listening when I return to listening to the book.
Preferably this bookmark should be automatically synced between PC and mobile versions.

Well, I believe Spotify has so far done a great job on adding music the "right" way as you are saying. To only “think” about potential features is very disappointing. To add specific timeframes is a way to properly react. Why not make audio books a premium feature? Audiobooks and videos are two features which I believe would fit the Spotify client very niceley. Make both a premium feature and get a hold of more subscribers. Simple. *edit: I’ve allready subscribed. -
Inappropriate? That's good, I hope you do add them, as it would be an amazing addition to an already amazing piece of software!
I’m excited

Inappropriate?I would be surprised and disappointed if this feature were not to be implemented.
-
Inappropriate?Yep im 100% for this idea, it would give spotify and Even bigger Edge on other programs :D its just so Awesome already this feature would tip the boat.
I’m 100% behind this!

Inappropriate?Making this a Premium only feature would:
a. give you more reasons for people to upgrade
b. give you more money to pay for rights etc.

Inappropriate?yessss. also include language courses.
Language courses can be very expensive, hard to access, etc. etc.
would also be very easy to target ads - i.e holidays to germany for people learning german....extra support material etc.
would defo be a profitable ad demographic. and they would be regularly listening and exposed.

Inappropriate?I think it shoud be a free and premium service as many people want audiobooks but want to pay NOTHING
No ads in the middle of the audiobook please and make It so that the program rembers where you were in the book for future
I’m excited

10€/month is not much, I'm not sure the ads are that profitable, and many people who work want to earn SOMETHING, so making it premium only would make sense.
Remembering the position like in iTunes would be nice. -
From my point of view, Spotify is affordable for everyone at this point. Lowering the price or releasing audiobooks as a free service will make them pay for way more bandwith and at the same time force the company to incorporate more advertising in to their product. -

It's a nice idea but doesn't make sense, unless the production itself is free. It's not illegal to create a production of Alice in Wonderland and then charge for it, for instance the new version of the film due in 2010. -
I know it's not illegal, but if we can get them elsewhere for free and just put them on our iPods, why bother pay for uncopyrighted audiobooks on spotify? -
Inappropriate?Totally agree with this. Maybe this would get youngsters to read more(Well, listen more in our case) and play less -.-
