Mac firewall always asks for permission (twice) everytime Spotify is launched.
Mac OS X (10.5) firewall always asks for permission to bypass the firewall (twice) everytime Spotify is launched.
I use the Mac firewall on the "Set access for specific services and applications" setting. Spotify is listed as being allowed but it asks (twice) everytime Spotify starts.

Inappropriate? Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I'll pass it on to our Mac developers and see if they can do anything about it.
-
Please pass along that the problem is related to code signing. The firewall in OS 10.5 and 10.6 will allow any signed application access without questioning.
Make sure to sign every app. INCLUDING Spotify.app/Contents/Resources/Relauncher.app -
We will start signing the binary, hang out there! -
Inappropriate? There is (or at least was) a bug in Mac OS X itself which can produce the above mentioned behaviour. Other users have fixed it by following these steps.
Please tell us if it works for you or not.

That fixed the problem for a while but then it came back. -
Inappropriate?I was directed here from http://getsatisfaction.com/spotify/to... and it solved my problem.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I followed the advice from mattias.arrelid, it fixed it for a while but the the bug returned.

Inappropriate?Same here -- it's happening again now :-(. Is there not a workaround? Other apps don't suffer in the same way so perhaps they're using a method that works, as opposed to a documented-but-broken one.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate? It must have something to do with code-signing? I think this is something spotify will have to fix. Not apple.
-
Inappropriate? From what I've read on other forums this is happening because Spotify.app must be writing to the actual application file and not the `Library/Preferences/Spotify subfolder structure. Every time you launch Spotify your Mac sees it as a new, or changed, app and has to ask you for your permission again. It's a Spotify problem not an Apple one.
