Minimal player mode for when you've already chosen a playlist

iTunes has a feature to turn the program into a "mini player" (iTunes is still bloated as hell though), this would be awesome if it could also be done with Spotify. For example, when I've chosen a playlist and just want to be able to switch back and forth between tracks.

Perhaps it could also be done so that the minimal player takes less resources. That would be awesome. And ofcourse, you could still display ads by making the player the same size as a banner or something.

I hope you get my idea and that you think about implementing it.
