Why does spotify stop fetching songs after just one song?
I'm running Spotify in Easy Peasy (based on and essentially the same as Ubuntu 8.10) through wine (latest version). When I start a song in Spotify, the song plays about 3/4 and then stops. If I try to start another song, the cover art comes up fine but the song doesn't start. The weird thing is that even if I only listen to the first song a couple of seconds, it still refuses to change to another song, so there's essentially a "one song limit".
The only way to fix this is to restart Spotify, then you can play 3/4 of any song you want until you have to restart again :)
Another problem that might be unrelated is that the progress bar for the song at the bottom "jumps" back and forward in the end as the point moves to show where in the song you are. This might be a Wine issue and is purely cosmetical.

Inappropriate? For me this fault appears rather randomly. It can work flawlessly for several hours but in periods it appears in every other song (with a spotify restart to make it work again). I mainly listen to spotify at work and use the computer in the same way all the time with no spikes to speak of in network, CPU and/or memory usage. The problem occurs 3-10 times a day and the symptoms are the same as described above. I haven't seen this problem anywhere else other than in wine.

Inappropriate?Hi guys.
I used to have this very same problem with mandriva and wine 1.1.17 (and earlier versions as well).
The thing is that i fixed this problem buy reconfiguring wine sound system.
you just have to type "winecfg" in a shell, go to "Audio" label and make wine use alsa or oss (or both) instead of the pulseaudio that comes by default.
With this small change I've been able to listen to spotify for days without any problem at all.
