Swiss Bank account should remain when converting to more elite classes.
I think our swiss bank funds should remain when you level up to more elite classes. Isn't that the point of a swiss bank account? That and trading money between players? I haven't found it incredibly useful for anything else, such as keeping money from people when they attack me. This is because the most I've seen taken in cash was maybe $300k, which isn't a big deal when you have millions. But when you level up and lose it all, it really makes the game boring.
I'm currently saving up for the $20M and $30M houses just because I want to be bad-ass and buy them... but leveling up to Elite Class II goes against my interest of wanting to buy these houses. Basically, it sucks constantly being fairly short on money until you reach level 40 and have time to do nothing but make money... but even then these $30M houses are quite out of reach.
I think it would be a much better incentive if we kept our swiss bank account funds where they were when we convert classes. Maybe even prevent the sale of weapons and armor at level 40, or put a $5M deposit cap per day in order to limit how much this feature actually becomes useful.

Inappropriate?Well really what you should do is have your friends donate you money when you go elite. What is a spy without his agency?
-
Inappropriate?I agree to an extent, there needs to be some form of asset retained but still leaves balance and equality for other players
-
Inappropriate?Having money saved just promotes people to cheat the banking system more.
-
Inappropriate?I'd agree with SpyMasterPhil.
Maybe if our safe houses could be saved?? I think elite spymasters should have a pretty good stream of income.
Or, perhaps make everything cheaper in elite classes.
I'm not completely sure of the solution, but I'd like it more if there was a financial incentive to upgrading elite classes. -
thank you! -
Inappropriate?I think that there should be a reward for moving to elite, other than a x's weaponry. How about this? For every elite level you go up... you don't keep what you have but you start with a set amount in the bank? Like elite I starts with 1 ml, elite II 2 ml, etc. I find it frustrating that I have to save up all over again just to open my acct... and I think that if we are elite... that should not have to happen... and I think that would not cheat anything. We have so many that are sitting in level 40 just because they do not want to lose absolutely everything. Look at it as an incentive to get more to continue on in the game.
Understand what I mean? I mean a real spy does not lose everything just because they are promoted. -
Inappropriate?I thought about both of those ideas, safe houses and having some cash left in the bank. I think they are both possible, really. It's just a matter of making it fair and balanced so level 1s can't go around pwning other level ones because they're filthy rich.
-
Inappropriate?I like that idea of starting with a set amount of cash, too. And that's what I'm mostly getting at... spys don't lose everything when they are promoted.
I’m confident we can make this better
-
Yeah, I think the "allowance" for Elite works too, can't have too high of an amount though--like 5mil is outrageous... but you know what I mean. -
Inappropriate?Well, it doesn't have to be that high, but why lose your entire bank acct when leveling to and through elite? Having to start that part over IS frustrating. Maybe change it to 100k, 200k, etc?
-
Inappropriate?Yeah, between the two of those aren't bad. Now to think of the repercussions this could have on other players...
-
Inappropriate?I don't think it would affect many that have already gone elite... in my case, I have not seen that many that have done it so far... it has to be a low as maybe 15%? You could retro something to those that have already taken the plunge... a cash reward maybe?
and 100k started in the bank is less than one can take from another spy in a fight... even at level 1, elite I.... I know because I have taken more than that at level 1, elite I. -
Inappropriate?I love spy's that don't bank often LOL
-
Inappropriate? There's actually more bonuses added for going Elite. We changed it recently.
-
Inappropriate?I haven't seen any? What did you add?
-
Inappropriate?I mean other than new safe houses... lol
-
Inappropriate? There's been in increase in health and energy stats
-
Inappropriate? We added some changes that make you stronger as you level up as well as(without giving it away) an energy boost for being elite.
-
Inappropriate? But that digresses from the Swiss Bank issue.
So if you guys can come up with some of the repercussions of giving Elites money and how to resolve them you'll have a much better case than just saying "Give us more money". You dig? -
Inappropriate?I can't think of any... how about this... how about lowering the amount needed to open the acct... OR just leaving the minimum amount needed in the acct... which is what? 10K That way it can't be pulled to buy more weapons... which is the only possible I can see as another advantage.
My gripe was only that we have to start over saving up to open our bank accts again. The rest were just thoughts running through my scatterbrained, afflicted with oldtimers, brain.
I’m silly
-
Inappropriate?haha, yeah. There maybe should be something done but I honestly can't think of a balanced solution
-
Inappropriate?a balanced solution is to put a brake on anyone closing their bank acct after going elite... and not allowing that initial 10k to ever be taken out? :) Additionally... maybe stop acct transfers after elite status? That seems fair... it would stop peeps from sending off money to other peeps to stash for them while changing over. :)
-
Inappropriate?Maybe I do have a brain cell left in there somewhere! heh
-
Inappropriate?I actually like the idea of lowering the amount needed to open an account.
But still, I'm certain there is something that might be wrong with this.
And just to let you guys know, the team is open to ideas. But if you're serious about them you should have the "yoken" to back up these ideas. If you can help me hash through the details they'll have a better chance of going through when I submit them.
But you guys are definitely, DEFINITELY on the right track. -
Inappropriate?Well, I think I covered what bases my minimal brain power could think of... but, the problem is and always has been that you cannot ever make everyone happy. Someone will always be unhappy with any changes made. I can see where peeps could take advantage of the funds if they gave it to someone else to hold while making the change over. It would take several levels to save enuf to open their accts again, but once open... all monies can be given back... that is why I suggested stopping the wire transfers after going elite. That keeps a more even playing field... OR lowering the amounts that can be sent... OR putting a cap on how many times you can send to any one person, ever.
-
Inappropriate?Bam. That's problem solving right there! You've got the brainpower!
I’m all gravy, baby.
-
Inappropriate?OK last brain cell is fried. Maybe someone else will have a better idea. :)
-
Inappropriate?I think that even just holding the bank account open (with maybe a minimum amount in it) across the jumps to elite levels would be a nice piece of continuity. It reminds me of the Bourne Identity when he leaves himself a safe deposit box with IDs, money, etc.
It would allow elites to start protecting their funds right away. I guess if people knew that, it might make them choose non-elites as targets - but I think the average player probably wouldn't bother differentiating.
