[Bug] Dismissed reminders continue to pop up (MANY of them)
I'm having an extremely annoying problem. StudentDocket is a great application--intuitive, useful, and well worth the $19.95...IF it wasn't barraging me (my blackberry) with the same reminder over and over every 12 seconds. Dismissing the reminder doesn't help, nor does restarting the blackberry.
The event details are: recurring (every wednesday until December 28th, occurring at noon). I'm not really sure what happened. The application was working fine for a week or so (or however long I've had the trial: I still have 6 days left) and now, all the sudden, it's having fits. I've had to turn off my ringer/vibrator because it was buzzing relentlessly every 12 seconds. Deleting the event was the only thing that seems to have fixed the problem so far. Anyway, if recurring events don't work then the application isn't worth nearly as much to me as that's an extremely useful feature for a student with homework due in certain classes every week.
Please advise!!! (also note: I have another recurring event that has caused no trouble...yet).

Inappropriate?We are having some trouble replicating this bug, can I ask what OS version you are using, what model phone you are using and what carrier you are on?

Inappropriate?Thanks for your reply Andrew. I'm using a Blackberry 8830 on Verizon. OS is v. 4.2.2.196 (Platform 3.0.0.84). For whatever reason it took quite a while for the bug to show up. Perhaps it has something to do with StudentDocket being open in memory for a certain (long) amount of time?

Inappropriate?Is the second recurring event setup using similar repeat details but works just fine? Have you recreated the offending event and had it repeat the constant reminders?
Sorry for all the questions, we're trying to find out if this is just a random problem or a consistent one. Random problems are quite a bit harder to track down and fix.

Inappropriate?I have the same problem. Except when I delete the task the reminders still continue consistently to appear. I can dismiss the task, but somehow it manages to still appear at a consistent rate. Please help, it is getting really annoying hearing my phone vibrate every 30 seconds. I have a Blackberry Pearl 8130 OS ver.4.5.0.77 (Platform 3.2.0.51).

Inappropriate?I've submitted this to our devs again for review. Unfortunately, it's been tough for us to duplicate the issue in order to fix it. Our understanding is that this MAY be an issue with the BlackBerry alert system. If anyone else is experiencing this issue, please also post with your blackberry os version.
I'll update this post when we've received an update.
For those of you waiting for a fix, restarting your berry seems to temporarily solve the problem.
