Can't purchase songs on TTR3. Get an error messege everytime.
Hey, I just bought TTR3 for my iphone 3g and I am not able to purchase any songs. I keep getting the messege "This is not a test user account, please create a new account in the sandbox environment." I turned off my wi-fi, I'm on a 3g connection and my bluetooth is turned off and my phone is plugged into the wall.

Inappropriate?Hi there --
That's certainly not something I'd expect for you to see, unless you're an iPhone developer and had been testing other in-app purchase-enabled applications.
Try this:
Go to the Settings application on your phone.
Go to the Store section.
Log out.
Then, go back to TTR3 and try to purchase something.
Say "use existing account" when you're asked to login.
Put in the same account information you do when you buy things from iTunes or the App Store. -
Inappropriate? That doesn't work.. because haha I've totally been complaining about this on every post for 30 min (sorry) But I'm getting that, ed told me to do that and it didn't work either!
-
You are right, it doesn't work. -
Cumy, did you jailbreak or unlock your iphone? -
Yes, My iPhone is jailbroken. And for what it's worth I got TTR3 strait from the app store! -
Googling around, I've found a report of someone getting the same error in Flick Fishing when their device was jailbroken... even though the app was purchased fair and square. Sorry guys, not sure what's going on yet... -
Unlocking your iphone will not affect anything lol -
Most unlocking processes require a jailbreak first... -
Inappropriate?Strange. What happens if you go to the App Store or iTunes applications on the phone, and try to download something (that's free)?
-
I downloaded TTR2 from my phone and it worked. By the way, my phone is jailbroken. I did purchase your app though legally. I don't think that would effect it though. Also, I'm not an iphone developer and I'm not doing in-app testing. Have a lot of people been having this problem? -
Inappropriate?Does jailbreaking cause the problem?
-
Inappropriate? It's quite possible. As I said above, "Googling around, I've found a report of someone getting the same error in Flick Fishing when their device was jailbroken... even though the app was purchased fair and square. Sorry guys, not sure what's going on yet..."
-
Inappropriate? Can it be fixed, I need my jailbreak...
-
Inappropriate? The error is coming from Apple, not from us. I can ask Apple about it, but that's about the best I can do right now. Sorry!
-
Is there a chance it might just start to work on its own? -
Inappropriate?Yeah I hope eventually it works out of no where. Really do not want to restore my phone and lose my jailbreak as I love multitasking :). Beats the palm pre
-
Inappropriate?and talking about purchasing tracks, on all of the track packs i've clicked on to purchase, there has been no prices on them whatsoever! so how am I supposed to know how much i'm spending?????
Also, I still don't get what the level cash is for if not to use against track purchases.
And where are all the points that I accumulated in TTR2?
JESS???
I’m now seriously confused! For my other confused posts, this beats them all!!!!
-
The level cash/"coins" are for avatar items I believe. -
Once you click buy, it asks you if you want to purchase for X dollars. Also heres a tip. If theres 2 songs, it's $.99, if theres 6 songs, it's $2.99! so BAM there ya go -
Inappropriate?Has anyone had this problem without a jailbroken iphone?
-
No none yet I believe. Jess also said that they're jailbroken-users only.. -
Inappropriate?Hey everyone, I just restored my phone. My phone was jailbroken before. It is currently not jailbroken and I can purchase in app songs. Jailbreaking appears to be the problem.
-
Yeah Jess and Ed confirmed that - and we did too.
You could propably sync with itunes and then jailbreak again and have the songs imported into the app, right? -
I don't think it's the jailbreak. Maybe, since you did a restore to factory settings, the restore itself did the trick, not removing the jailbreak.
Maybe if someone could do a restore, jailbreak, then try to buy an app, we'd know the answer for sure.
There are few people I know who are jailbroken who are buying track packs like crazy :(.
I can't buy the tracks either: http://twitpic.com/kim4k
@Jess: I saw you on MacMost! It's awesome to see what you guys are doing. -
Inappropriate?actually i had my phone jailbroken with 3.0, and in-app store purchase works as usual, but with 3.1 jailbroken it does not work anymore... wonder why?
-
I recently restored to 3.1.2 and jailbroke it with blackra1n. Just tried to buy the Blink-182 track pad, and it worked! -
Inappropriate?I recently bought the game Ramp Champ on a jailbroken iphone. You can make in app purchases for 99 cents and I got the same problem as in TTR3. This sounds like a mistake with apple and not Tapulous. Is there any way you can fix this Tapulous?
-
The only way to get it working is to do a restore, then rejailbreak. After restoring and rejailbreaking, you should be able to purchase track packs just fine.
