Fully Integrated Avatar Contests? (similar to Mii Contests?)
Well with Avatars, messaging, and a gallery of avatar items, TTR3 can actually incorporate fully functional avatar contests. Why not?
The purpose of avatars are to look cool so far and this feature would be pretty awesome :)
Avatar *Beauty* contests should have themes (not gameplay themes) like Punk Rocker, Casual Tapper, Vampire, dreamer, astronaut, some old guy...... etc;
Basically the person would customize their avatar then send a pic (picture messaging not incorporated yet..) of the avatar via TTR3 Messaging or twinkle to "Avatar_Judges" or something similar to that and the first 1000 avatar submissions would be taken, why 1000? Becuz someone @ tapulous can't sit down staring @ pixelated art all day I'd imagine :P
Then the Top 3 winners would win some stuff like maybe a secret exclusive gallery of avatar items, $15 itunes gift card, a free track pack, etc;
So far a feature like this would be meaningless because we still haven't gotten face/mouth expressions or skin color added to the avatar store and there needs to be some more avatar items so we can actually get some diverse looking avatars....

Inappropriate?Eh, avatars aren't all that customizable as Mii's are. You can't change the size or move around body parts or accessories so it won't work too well.1 Comment

Yeah your right, but since the game just launched with limited customization features and the fact that updates are just waiting to come along in the future maybe we'll see stuff like size and accessory customization in the near future hopefully :) -

Inappropriate?hmmm.... sounds like fun in theory, but I think a lot of people would abandon Tapulous because they might consider it too... I don't know.... kid-like? Not saying it's a bad idea or I think you're dumb for thinking of it or anything, but I dunno... Any other thoughts? -
Inappropriate?And also I agree with DrMonkey that avatars aren't as customizable. Plus, with the limited options, a LOT of people are bound to have the same character design. And if one is deemed the "winner", and other people have the exact same design, there will be a lot of fights over who's REALLY won...
This is especially possible with 1,000 entries at the minimum, seeing as how you can't do much with your character customizing-wise.1 Comment Add a comment

But it doesn't mean it has to be implemented at the state of TTR3 now. Once tapulous adds some more expressions, skin colors, and a galore of items in the future then an idea like this would be possible :)
