What features would you like to see in our software?
Hello,
This is a wishlist thread, open for all. The question is simple:
What features would you like to see implemented in TDST, TIDE or I/O Ninja?
Which features would you use often and could make your life easier?
(If you happen to stumble upon this thread in a few months -- it is still relevant. Feel free to write.)

OK, I see we need a bit of a claification:
I mean _software_ features. What you guys are talking about is firmware/hardware. I mean Windows software features.
So: This thread is only for Windows software feature requests. You may post wishes about TIDE itself (_not_ TiOS), about TDST, and about I/O Ninja.
Thank you for your input!

Inappropriate?I would like a utility to download the compiled file to the tibbo (em1000) via ethernet. Some of my devices are remote, so sometimes i'd like the customer to do an (application) firmware upgrade. At the moment they install TIDE and I have to send the source to upload. I'd rather just send them a precompiled image without the source, for obvious reasons.
thanks, Mark -
We've got you covered, Mark. :)
Check out http://www.tibbo.com/taiko_dl.php
Get the stand-alone Device Explorer, and BinMerger. You can use BinMerger to make binaries for your clients, and then have them install Device Explorer (not TIDE) and just upload the binary onto the target.
Is this what you were looking for? -
Inappropriate?<grin> too easy, i should have looked a bit harder.thanks. </grin>

Glad I could help! :) -
Inappropriate?I would like to see a function in Tibbo Basic to convert a string to upper case or lower case. This is a significant omission from the language and stopping us developing an application on Tibbo.

( I did raise this a few months ago....)
I’m dissapointed

Thank you for your feedback. Once more, this is a firmware issue, rather than a PC-software issue. I'm afraid I cannot take it at this time: This thread is for PC software wishlists only, as I have stated a couple of times above. -
Inappropriate? It was a moment when I really needed to see in what order did events executed in TIOS. I missed something like "event queue" in TIDE.
-
Did you try using sys.debugprint? I think it would give you what you need. Place a "sys.debugprint" statement in every event, or a breakpoint. Is that what you mean? -
Great! :) Happy I could help. -
Inappropriate?Dear santa, I'm not sure if my request will fit for hardware or software issue, but we hope you can do the best for this :

Thanks a lot, and also we have hundreds of em1000 in our office and preparing to use it for attendance system. XD
I’m hopeful

Hey $@M! :)
True, it's not software. It's definitely on our todo list... It might still take some time, I'm afraid.
Your attendance system sounds good! I am currently looking for interesting projects to feature on our website and in newsletters etc, with links to the company websites. Would you be interested in that sort of exposure? -
Inappropriate?Hi, currently I working an SSL connections, and I would like see SSL Listener Socket in I/O Ninja ;)

Hi Lucas,
Great idea! Very useful feature to have. We added it to our To-Do list and it will be included in a future version. Thanks!
