Adjust 3.2.2 Presets No Longer Match Version 2.6
After installing the "fix" for the Photoshop crash problem based on the interaction of Simplify 2 and Adjust 3, the detail component of the presets in Adjust 3.2.2 seems to be uniformly increased to the point where they all look more or less the same. Compared to the identical presets in Version 2.6, these all look as though they have way (!!) too much detail. Does anybody else see this??

Inappropriate? Here are two images which compare the result for the "Detailed" preset between 2.6 and 3.2.2. This is the 3.2.2 image:

And this is the 2.6 image:

They look very different to me. My impression is that the 3.2.2 image all now have way to much detail. Click on the images to enlarge them in order to see the real difference!
I’m hoping others see this...

Inappropriate?Hi,
Weird! The presets should be exactly the same. Check to see, in the Details tab of Topaz Adjust v3, whether the "Separate Details" box is checked. If it is, try unchecking it.
Best,
Eric

The "Process details independent of exposure" box was unchecked in the example above. When I check it, there is essentially no difference in the "Detailed" preset although it quiets the "Crisp" preset down quite a bit. Is there a chance that something got messed up in my install and I should install again? If yes, can you tell me how to delete the current version and whether my upgrade key will still work? All of the presets from 3.2.2 look consistently "oversharpened", especially when compared to the 2.6 version.
Thanks for the help! -
Inappropriate? We will look into it and get back to you by tomorrow. There suppose to be no changes in presets.

Thanks! I really appreciate your taking a look at this. I can always continue to use my old version of Adjust but the new interface represents such an improvement, I'd like to be able to use it. -
Inappropriate?Hello,
After making some side-by-side comparisons of the presets in 2.6 and 3.2.2, we did find that there are some small but noticeable differences between the resulted pictures of 2.6 and 3.2.2 using the identical preset. This is probably caused by the improved memory management in Adjust V3 which changed the block size slightly.
If you prefer the results of V2.6 presets, you can adjust the Strength setting inside the Adjust tab before applying V3.2.2 presets.
Best Regards,
Kevin

Inappropriate?Where did you find 3.2.2? The download I found is 3.2.1.

Inappropriate?Hi William,
If you are using Windows then 3.2.1 is the most current version.
If you are on a Mac then it will be 3.2.3.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Best,
Ashley
