Topaz not in CS3 filter list
Topaz does not appear in my CS3 filter list. I also copied the Topaz plugin file to the CS3 plugin map, this did not help.

Inappropriate?Hi Jan,
I'll assume you're using Mac, because the file on Mac is a .plugin file. If I'm wrong just let me know.
First, please make sure that you exit and re-launch Photoshop after installing Topaz Adjust.
Second, make sure that the "Topaz Adjust" folder is in the Photoshop Plug-Ins folder, usually located as follows: Applications->Adobe Photoshop CS3->Plug-Ins.
Third, make sure that you have at least Read access to the Photoshop Plug-Ins folder. To do this, right click on the Plug-Ins folder and click Get Info. Scroll to the bottom to Permissions - it should say you have Read and Write Privileges.
Please let me know if you still can't get it to work.
Best regards,

Inappropriate?Hi Eric,
Thanks a lot for your reply.
No, I'm using Vista and used the apropriate Topaz download.
The CS3 Plug-Ins folder contains the tladjust file and a tladjust shortcut.
Should I copy the complete Topaz Adjust folder to the Plug-Ins folder?
I have Read access to the Plug-Ins folder, changed this to Read and Write but this aparently had no effect, the Read only checkbox was checked when I looked again.
Regards, Jan -
Inappropriate?Oh. For Vista, just try deleting the topaz adjust shortcut while keeping the tladjust.8bf file in there. Make sure that it's the Photoshop Plug-Ins folder.
Does that work?

Inappropriate?Sorry, this does not work.
No sign of Topaz in the Filter List... -
Inappropriate?First of all make sure that you're quitting and restarting Photoshop after you try anything to let it check for new plug-ins.
Let's just do a clean uninstall and reinstall. Go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features and remove Topaz Adjust completely. Download the latest Windows version of Topaz Adjust from this direct link, and install it without changing the install location or anything. Restart CS3 and it should appear in the Filter menu.
If that doesn't work, maybe it's a Windows gremlin. Try rebooting your computer, or trying to see if it works on a different one.
Let me know!
Eric

Inappropriate?Hi Eric,
The problem is solved at last.
Solution: the tladjust.8bf file should not be copied to the Plug-Ins folder but instead to the Filters folder.

Inappropriate?Interesting! Well, I'm glad you got it fixed. Let me know if you have any other questions.
