Inappropriate?Hmm... I'm not sure, to be honest.
I'll ask Scott to take a look at this and see what he thinks. He knows a lot more about DVD Import than I do. :)

I’m not so bright on DVD Import

Inappropriate? The DVD Import uses a native 32-bit DLL for multiplexing the final MPEG output. I bet this isn't working, since .NET is running in 64-bit mode.
Don't fear, there is a workaround, let me email you directly and we can attempt to resolve this issue.

Inappropriate? As mentioned at http://gsfn.us/t/nar, we've released DVDImport 5.0 which includes the fix for running on 64-bit Windows.

Inappropriate?so is this new release vista friendly? If so, how do I get a copy?
-
Inappropriate?Dont know if Vista ready. You would think it would be. It does work on 64bit OS.
-
Inappropriate?Has anyone else tried the new 5.0 version on vista? I just tried it and it didn't work for me. DVD loaded, but after selecting my settings and clicking on import, the program locked up and wouldn't actually start importing.
