Is it possible to setup a admin user role where those with that role have full admin control of only specific channels and zones?
Is it possible to setup a admin user role where those with that role have full admin control of only specific channels and zones? Currently, the only "channel setup" rules are Clobal System Config and Zone Setup. If I give a assign a user access to those rules, they can access the setup for all channel and zones. It would be a big help, if I could assign those rules to a user so they only access the setup and config for those channels in which they own. If you need more information, let me know.
Thanks!
Thanks!

The best point from the company

ETopping is right, there isn't a way to do this in Carousel currently. It's a common request, but difficult to implement for us. If we can make any headway on this, we'll be sure to let everyone know.
Thanks,
-John
I’m bummed that we can't do it yet.

Inappropriate?Short answer is no. We were looking for that too when we first got Carousel.

Inappropriate?Josh, John,
This is a big problem for us too. We really need the ability to let some users have full control of their channels while restricting their access to others. We haven't had a problem with this yet, but I know we will in the future, especially with some of our more tech-savvy users who aren't going to understand why they can't set up their own channel. Yikes. I fear the day I have to explain this.

Inappropriate?A must for the Enterprise solution.

Inappropriate? The only way I see the Enterprise solution with multiple customers working is getting this issue taken care of. I truely hope we see this working soon because I don't see to many happy customers out there when they find out that everyone can see there content.
I’m frustrated

Not to sound cynical, but aren't digital signs used almost exclusively in public areas anyway?
I can see your point though.
There are some other loop holes within the system that could stand to be closed as well. Perhaps I'll start a thread outlining those...
Our needs from this functionality would be for a customer to be able to change their zone layout themself instead of us having to do it for them. I know that would make many end users (and us) happy. -
Inappropriate?Sounds like there are enough people who are interested in this... I'm changing the topic type to "Idea" so more people can vote on it by clicking the "I like this idea!" button. :-)
