Media Search-Possible Issue
I was doing a media search today, with the a copy and paste from both the Show Record Title and then CG Title. The Media Search cannot find the record. At first I thought it might be the issue of the '#' sign or the colon in the title, but I cannot get a result until I've reduced the name to the first word (BHSD). Note this first word is separated by a colon. For example:
Show Title
BHSD: Two High Schools Two Campuses FAQ #1-Media Training
CG Title
BHSD: Two High Schools Two Campuses FAQ #1
NOTE: Media does exist and originally was trying to do a link media and have had the same issue whether I go from the link media or just search for media.
Have I missed a release note or forum discussion about this? I've RTFM without any help. Or have I missed completely the point of media search?
Thanks

I have this problem, too!
Tell me when someone solves it.
The more people who report this problem, the more it gets noticed.

Inappropriate? This is just a shot in the dark for me, but I noticed on the unformatted email I recieved from this post that there are TWO spaces after the colon. From what you've said, simply removing the colon didn't work. I'd be curious to know if removing one space does the trick.
Hope this helps...

Inappropriate?David,
The media name is not always the same as the show title.
I would open the show record, and check that the media name (in blue text in the reels area) is what you expect.
As far as the media name not changing when the show name changes, I will discuss this with the developers in a few moments.

Inappropriate?I have, and it is the exact same. Moreover, shouldn't the search string provide for an abbreviated title? If not, this is a limited function.
