Old weather backgrounds on one machine
We recently upgraded to 5.2.6 with the new weather options. The new backgrounds are great but they are only available for one of my carousel CG250's (all zones), the other CG250 still has the old backgrounds. All the machines (Cablecast Pro and the two CG 250's) were upgraded to 5.2.6. Why is this and how can I make it so both CG250 machines use the same weather backgrounds?

Inappropriate?Hi Tim,
Existing weather bulletins won't be updated to use the new backgrounds, they'll continue to use the backgrounds they had when they were created. If you make a new weather bulletin on the other Carousel channels, do you get the new stuff?

Inappropriate?No, when I go to make a new one it uses the old backgrounds. I even deleted any old ones and made a new one but it still uses the old background. The other CG250 does have the new graphics.

Inappropriate?Hmm... Is it possible that one of your CG250 channels has a custom TRMS Creative design installed? In that case, there are custom weather templates that are manually installed that "override" the built-in templates that are installed with each software update.

Inappropriate?Yes, one of our CG250's does have a Creative Design installed on it, but not this one. This CG250 is the basic one.

Inappropriate?Hmm, well in that case we may have reached the limit of what advice I can offer via the forum... I think your best bet is to get in touch with our support team and have them take a closer look at your system... I wonder if something might have gotten a little goofy during the installation.
I'd file a case with them by sending an email to support@trms.com and explainging the situation. Include a link to this topic as well so they can read through the steps we've taken already.
I'm sure they'll be able to get it fixed up for you. :-)

Inappropriate?After submitting a trouble ticket we solved this problem. As usual Joe from support came through with a solution, we just had to delete the cache folder on the machine that was having the issue. (D:\TRMS\CarouselDisplayEngine).
