Geo aware twitpic updates with maps

I was wondering if you guys were going to make the pictures location aware? I have a phone that auto geo-tags my photos in the GPS section of the exif infomation. I was just curious if you were ever planning to stick a link to google maps (or an embedded minimap) on the images page on twitpic with a pin pointing to where the photo was taken?

Great idea. We are in the process of adding better location support/features for twitpic and extracting GPS coords from images is part of that plan. Thanks for the great suggestion.

10 months later, where are we with this feature? Can we still hope an embedded map from the GPS coords next to our photos, any day? This was a great idea. Brightkite does it, but i would prefer to use Twitpic.

This would be really cool with the new iPhone Twitterrific app. It can send photos here and it can set Twitter's location by lat/long. It'd be nice for that location info to get sent to TwitPic as well!

You can provide me the URL's to your photos and I can remove the location for you. This is something that we will add to the user's abilities soon.
