How can you twitter someone in the UK now ???
My sister lives in the UK. We started twittering last week and it worked fine until Thursday. Now I can get her tweets but she can't get mine. Looks like this was due to a a change in Twitter policy per Webware.com, Anybody know how to fix this?

Inappropriate?I'm afraid the only option your sister has is to use non-sms means to retrieve your tweets.
Excerpt from the Twitter blogpost re: sms changes:
If you don't live in Canada, India, or the US, then we recommend receiving your Twitter updates via one of the following methods.
* http://m.twitter.com works on browser-enabled phones
* http://m.slandr.net works on browser-enabled phones
* http://TwitterMail.com works on email-enabled phones
* Cellity works on java-enabled phones
* TwitterBerry works on BlackBerry brand phones
* Twitterific works on iPhones
Twitter says they're working on getting in-country sms gateways (and it looks like they're hoping to announce a few in Europe first). There's no official timeline yet, though. Once those in-country sms gateways are up and running, then receiving tweets via sms will be possible again.
In the meantime, a couple of third-party sites have announced plans to support Twitter SMS for a fee. See

Thanks mdy - appreciate your help! -
Inappropriate?Do you both live in the UK?
If you're relying on SMS, all Twitter SMS to the UK - and to all countries except Canada, India and the USA - ended on Wednesday 13 Aug 2008 (Pacific Time).
SMS from the UK (and other affected countries) still reach Twitter.
See Changes for Some SMS Users—Good and Bad News for more on this.
If this is indeed your problem, you may like to know I've suggested to Twitter that they implement (non-SMS) instant notification via ping calls.
If such an interim solution would help you, please indicate your support there.
If enough users are interested in my proposal, Twitter may be interested too.
