Implement OAuth for 3rd Party Limited Access
I think Twitter should implement OAuth so that I don't have to give third party web sites (like netvibes or chi.mp) my twitter credentials.
This would enable me to give specific permissions to various 3rd party web sites to access certain information from my twitter account.

Hi Dave. In the Twitter Development Google Group, Twitter's API Lead (Alex Payne) said this week that:
We're currently waiting on our User Experience team to put the final touches on a BETA release of our OAuth support. It's going to have bugs, to be sure, but we should have it out there soon.
You'll find the original message at this link.
And if you're interested in developing an app with the Twitter API, it might be a good idea to join the Twitter Development Google Group as well.

Inappropriate?Hello. OAuth is on the list of requested enhancements for the Twitter API.
In the thread that I linked to above, Al3x also explains why It's currently tagged as low priority. -
Inappropriate?I hate to say it - but it really shouldn't be low priority...
I’m hoping it will work soon.

Fabulous news. Thanks for letting us know. -
Inappropriate?Any word on this yet? More and more apps keep appearing that have no alternative but to ask for your Twitter login credentials.

Inappropriate?Last message re: OAuth that I remember seeing in the Twitter Development Google Group says they intend to have a beta or test version out before the end of the year.
