Limit search to just your own friends/followers

Perhaps this is possible, but I'm not sure how to do it. If not, it would make a quite useful feature. I'd like to be able to limit a search to only those tweets posted by my followers or those I follow (rather than the entire twitterverse).

Anyone know how to do this, or share my interest in having this feature implemented?
