my tweets not showing on twitter search

I'm having problem, too. None of my tweets are showing in Twitter Search/Summize. I tried setting my updates to private, then back to public. This has solved the problem in the past, but not this time. Updating from web, Twitterfox and Twitterberry. Same for all: Keyword search returns nada. User Name search returns @replies but not my tweets. Last update that appeared on Twitter Search, 15 days ago. Looks like I'm being filtered?

In case you haven't done so yet, please consider logging a support ticket at http://twitter.com/help with a description of your problem. Please include the username of your account as well.

I started using the #invisibletosearch hash tag. Irony is that nobody will find it because I am invisible to search!

Makes it pointless to tweet about #election08, you know?!

Hey! I was checking to see if I actually submitted a ticket to twitter (think I did, but could not find confirmation email), so started setting up a new ticket and discovered that my tweets are now showing up in search!

Not sure if you did anything to fix, but I will give you ALL the credit. Awesome.

bigboxcar, I don't see #invisibletosearch at twitter search. And I'm still not in the results either :(

I had only used the #invisibletosearch hash tag before the problem was fixed, and it looks like search has not indexed all of my previous tweets. So I just twittered a test, and it shows up:

Interesitngly enough, it looks like my tweet does NOT show up if you search using the '#' character: #invisibletosearch

Wonder why that is? Searching with the '#' character works with other words:

So, it's only indexing your most recent tweets? I put one up a few minutes ago and I don't see that either, so if your problem is solved mine isn't yet :(

Hey Karl, glad you're being indexed again by Twitter Search. Followed your example and submitted a ticket tow Twitter. See if it helps. My updates stopped showing up on Twitter Search about 20 days ago.

If anyone from Twitter is following this thread a strange thing happened. I changed my account photo, then changed it back but it has now stopped appearing beside my old updates in Twitter Search. Instead, what appears is the beginning part of my pics file name on my computer.

Note to the Twitterati: I'm pulling my hair out over here. Help

If you check my stream (@mjnewham), you'll see that I have tweeted 6,500+ - but search stopped indexing my tweets in December

.. I raised a ticket on Twitter Support #27027 (on the 11th Feb') but haven't heard anything.

I'm also having a problem with my tweets not being indexed. I submitted a help desk ticket directly to Twitter about three weeks ago but never heard anything back.

My tweets aren't showing up at all in search, not a thing, so using hashtags etc is a complete waste of my twitting time, I've sent a support ticket, must be around 20 days ago and I'm getting no support at all and no response, it's driving me nuts!

same problem @mansonbook - why use twitter if you can't participate in a conversation and get peeps to follow you. They'll only see what you say if they follow at this point.

Hi they sometimes come through but mostly if i add a link they dont, just posted a few more when i search they're def not showing. can you take a look.

This is what I did. First change your username in settings, change your email too. Log out of twitter. Then make/sign up for a new twitter account(since you changed it, you can now use the same username/email you had before). Then delete the one you changed since you now have two accounts. Worked for me.

same problem here - lodged ticket, got message back saying "resolved" nothing changed! if you go to "find people" and search @sassyele it says cannot be found and none of my hashtagged tweets show up either - no further forward and getting increasingly more frustrated! no message saying my accounts been suspended either so not sure what the problem is! HELP!!!!

The email you got back as RESOLVED will have this at the bottom of it:

"If you feel you've been suspended in error, please reply to this email with a short explanation if you haven't already, and don't forget to include your user name. We'll be in touch with more information soon."

I'm having the same problem too, they just recently stopped showin my Tweets in the search...It's very frustrating because I see bots gettting onto the search all the time.

I continue to have this problem as well. I've tried to contact Twitter customer service (both by @username and by filing a service ticket) and nobody responds to my multiple pleas for help. My service request was closed without comment. I feel like Twitter is ignoring me. Could somebody with Twitter please help! I miss my Twitter Account and it's pretty much useless now. Twitter FINALLY fixed mine! All I did was submit a ticker here: http://help.twitter.com/requests/new and it did take them a little while but it's well worth it when it's finally fixed.

I tried submitting a new request using MW's link but it was marked as 'solved' straight away.

I'm a bit fed up with this as I only post about ten times a day and have between one and three hashtags per Tweet.

When I search on my hashtags I see other folk making about five Tweets a minute and have the same multiple hashtags - so if it is about how I use the system, it isn't a level playing field.

There's really no rhyme or reason to this, and it's been going on for over a year. Twitter needs some competition. That's the only thing that will get this ridiculousness fixed.
