Not getting confirmation nor reminders from Remember The Milk
Hi all - I'm not getting confirmation nor reminders from the RTM bot. I've contacted Remember The Milk and they say all is working fine on their side (tasks are added successfully). Tried to stop following, then re-following rtm but it didn't help. On twitter, both confirmation and reminders are On; any suggestions?

Inappropriate?Same problem here - last succesfull msg received on 2 July - since then tasks get added to rtm, but no corresponding twitter msg. I use these as instant reminders, so a pain not to have.
I’m anxious
-
RTM still doesn't want to talk to me; i opened a support ticket with twitter, will let you know what i hear back. -
Inappropriate?RTM's take on the issue:
From http://www.rememberthemilk.com/forums...,
"We've been checking into this -- it's looking like some direct messages from Twitter aren't making it through to us (and some direct messages that we're sending back aren't making it to the Twitter user on the other end).
If your account is affected, I'd recommend contacting Twitter and letting the folks there know that you're experiencing problems sending/receiving direct messages with the 'rtm' user on Twitter. They might have a fix for affected accounts on their end; unfortunately we can't control delivery of Twitter messages from our side. :("
I’m abandoned

Inappropriate?Well, I guess it's time to pursue Twitter. Though I thought that's what this site was about - "Twitter is here! 19 employees are listening and participating" it says at the top.
How about some reaction, people from Twitter ?
I’m getting angry
-
Inappropriate?Just because only 5 people clicked on the "I have this problem too" button doesn't mean the rest of the Twitter users on the Remember The Milk service aren't experiencing problems with direct reminders. Do something about it please... Thanks so much.
I’m hoping other microblogs will kill Twitter
-
Inappropriate?Hi Folks, I'm not sure what the problem is between direct messages and remember the milk. I'll try and find out if there is something going on at Twitter that would cause the issue you're having.
-
Any updates? I mean, I don't expect a full solution within 11 days, but any hint of what is going on? Thanks. -
Twitter and RTM need to communicate if this is problem is going to be resolved. If nothing else, http://www.rememberthemilk.com/help/c... -
Any update? -
Inappropriate?I think the problem is when you try to send a direct message with a command. For instance
d rtm Pick up milk
works fine
but
d rtm !today
Returns nada. Could the bang '!' character be causing issues with Twitter?
I’m sad
-
i tried d rtm pick up milk and get nothing from rtm. Do you get a direct message? -
My mistake I don't get confirmation from the bot.
When I do: d rtm Pick up the milk, it adds it to my inbox but I get no confirmation -

Inappropriate?Well, I've followed RTM via Twitter and set it to receive direct messages via SMS as a reminder. It works fine until last month when I stopped receiving direct messages from RTM whenever my task is due. Still got it through IM and email though.
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate?A few different experiences coming out now. To clarify my problem:
My usual message is of form:
d rtm now pick up milk.
I used to get a twitter direct message from the RTM bot very soon after sending that message. I would then get sms and email notifying me of direct message.
I no longer get a direct message, and hence no sms or email.
The tasks do get added to rtm.
I tried
d rtm pick up milk
but no different.
I’m getting confused
-
Inappropriate?I'm having exactly the same problem. I send direct messages and the tasks get added but nothing comes back. Basically, the Twittering is completely one way.
I have no idea whether the "d rtm !today" is getting through to RTM but I'm definitely not getting anything back.
I’m disappointed
-
Inappropriate?Bad news folks. Twitter canceled their SMS updates. Atleast in my country, that is. Sheesh. http://blog.twitter.com/2008/08/chang...
I’m frustrated
-
Thanks for pointing that out. I don't think that's the main problem here though; I've been experiencing this RTM problem in the US.
I suppose that means there's still hope for some of us. My sympathies to you though. -
Yes, sad though it is, this is not relevant to this problem, which is that direct messages are not getting through from RTM. -
Inappropriate?Oh yeah, you've got a point there, my bad. But my guess is RTM is sending out lots of DMs more than it's receiving, and what's a DM without SMS? Not everyone uses Twinkle or TwitterBerry. I know I'm not. If you're in front of a computer, the RTM's GTalk DM reminders worked fine.
So I think they've quietly disabled it (temporarily) until they find a way to sustain it. Notice the lack of posts here by Twitter? Also, RTM and Twitter are pointing fingers at each other but I think we know damn well who's fault is it http://www.rememberthemilk.com/forums.... Anyway, it's just my thought, not trying to provoke anything.
Maybe I'm just pissed they've canceled DMs via SMS in my country. Or shall I say 'in every country except US, Canada and India'? Anyway, good luck guys!
I’m sad

Inappropriate? For those of you who relied on SMS DMs via Twitter's international number:
Would "ping calls" for mobile Direct Message alerts help any of you? Then at least you'd know when to look for a new DM on your mobile device or PC.
Ping calls would surely be inexpensive and easy for Twitter to set up, and would relieve our pain at least a little.
If you like the idea, please say so there, and encourage Twitter to get involved too.
I'm unfamiliar with the way RTM works: but perhaps RTM could implement their own ping call too? Then you could distinguish between RTM alerts and alerts to other Twitter DMs.
I’m looking for a way forward.

Inappropriate?I too used to get replies when I sent a tweet to RTM on Twitter. I've gone through the setup process again and, get no responses from RTM on Twitter when !(bang) messages are sent or even when I sent the code to set up the follow again. I would like this fixed as it's been a problem for some time now.
I’m disappointed
-
Inappropriate?Update...for no apparent reason I suddenly got a direct message from RTM. This is the first direct message I've ever gotten from RTM and I'm not even sure why I got it. It looks like a response to 'd rtm !today'. I've sent that in the past but why did it suddenly show up now?!? I did another 'd rtm !today' after I got it...so far no response. Very weird.
-
Inappropriate?Well praise be! I've just sent 3 updates to rtm, and got direct message notifications for each of them.
Looks like something's been fixed. Let's see if it continues.
I’m cautiously happy
-
I'm still not receiving direct messages from rtm. I wonder what factors are different here. -
Well, I don't know. Mine is still working fine. I didn't make any changes. The day before it started working, I sent myself a direct message from another Twitter account, just to check DMs were working generally. If there's any setting you want me to check let me know. -
Inappropriate?I too am having this issue. Have been for the better part of two months. I do not receive DM's from RTM. On occasion I will receive them. I am missing their reminders, so i am not sending them something, i am expecting DM's from them at specific time. Over the last two months i have received a few, in the early hours of the day (EST).
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Still a problem for me. DM to rtm work perfectly fine (sans reminder) but I get no DM from rtm. Does it have anything to do with having public vs. protected tweets?
-
It shouldn't be provider related. The problem is (was, for me) that DMs would not arrive at Twitter from RTM. How the get passed on after that by Twitter (SMS, email) is not the issue. -
Inappropriate? It's still not working for me. I can't believe this is still an issue. Come on twitter, get on the ball!!
-
Honestly I think this is going to turn out to be a problem on RTM's end of things. Direct messages from all other users still work, right? I just hope that the people over at RTM haven't too quickly dismissed this as a Twitter issue and are still looking into things... (How likely is that? :( )
