Twitter has disappeared from my blog

I love twitter, but turning services on and off really makes me want to stop using twitter.

Any messages I post at twitter do not post to my blog page. I reapply the code and it works for only the time that I stay at my blog page, if I get off-line then come back later the messages are gone. All that's left is the message saying "follow me on twitter."

I've been having the same problem since I signed up for Twitter yesterday. I've tried every badge they have, and I get the same result from all of them. Since I have the same problem with the RSS feed, I'm sure they're connected. Is Twitter doing anything to fix this?

Same here. I use this on our business' blog and it's making us look bad. Does anyone know what to do???

This is the behaviour I see if I view http://viennateng.com/scrapbook/ (a blog using Wordpress) in Internet Explorer 7 rather than in my usual FireFox. At least it doesn't look broken to the uninitiated, and the Follow her on Twitter link is still there.

There are worse variants of this bug: in some cases the word UNDEFINED is displayed prominently instead of the desired tweets.

I suspect you are currently viewing your blog in Internet Exlorer. If you try another browser, your tweets may well be displayed correctly on your blog.

It seems that there is currently an incompatibility between Internet Exlorer and Twitter's HTML badge. This is discussed in the (rather technical) Get Satisfaction thread Twitter Badge updates not working in IE, but working in Firefox?, whose 7 participants appear to know what they're talking about.

Since Internet Exlorer is still widely used, this bug is highly inconvenient!

Even if the problem turns out to result from one of Microsoft's frequent updates, Twitter (being the smaller company) will need to find a workaround.

Some questions have popped up here on Get Satisfaction about our badges not working properly with Internet Explorer. I'm not sure what's causing it other than to say it's a bug—I'll check with the engineers.

Hey folks. Alex and Britt (Twitter engineers) have discovered a likely cause of this problem and they put a fix in which will go out in the next deploy—hopefully that can be Monday. They tell me that IE was sending a faulty header to Twitter and they've figured out how to deal with it. Either way, let's see what happens on Monday. Thanks for your patience!

Not to put a rush since it's still Monday just wanted to let you guys know it's still an issue. My myspace box works one time and if you go back to the page or refresh at all it goes right to undefined. *shrugs* lol frustrating haha

Today (Tuesday also at TwitterHQ) I've retried http://viennateng.com/scrapbook/ in Internet Explorer 7, where it now looks as good and functions as in my usual FireFox.

I've just checked that the badge on http://www.myspace.com/jessicamellott now updates correctly in Internet Explorer 7, too: no more UNDEFINED today.

So it looks as though it's fixed!

I suspect that the With Friends badge issue is part of a much bigger problem that Twitter can't fix any time soon.
