twitter username confusion!
I changed my username but for some reason on my profile and home pages it still says my old username. However, if I type in twitter.com/oldusername, or try to look at who I am following/being followed by from the links on my homepage, it says the pages don't exist. If i type in twitter.com/newusername it takes me to the twitter page of my old username. and i have to type in /newusername/following, etc, to see those pages.
Does any of that make sense? How do i fix it?

Inappropriate?I have the same problem. Changed my username, but the old one is showing up on my homepage. If you click on it it says that that username doesn't exist. If you search for the new username it says that doesn't exist either! I've only just added Twitter to my homepage, but I'll removing it very soon if I can't resolve this as it looks rubbish.

Inappropriate?I have the same issue. I followed the directions to delete another account by changing the username and email so that it would be available for this account. But when I went in to change the username on this account, it says that the one I am trying to use is still occupied. As you stated above, when I try to check the status on the deleted account or enter it in the URL is says that it does not exist. HELP!

Inappropriate?hi there i too have the same problem !!!! i changed my username from amandagillmor to missamanda1983...when i sign in and go to home everything seems to be fine until i try clicking on my profile link. when i click on profile it says page not found. and the link in the address bar is www.twitter.com/amandagillmor which is my old username...in order for me to get to my profile page using missamanda1983 i have to manually enter it in my address bar...when this opens it shows my name as amandagillmor even though my address is for missamanda1983...so in order for me to to see my profile under my new username i need to manually type it in the address bar, what can i do to fix this ? also when i search my username missamanda1983 is not there but my old username amandagillmor is.

mine actually got fixed now...dont know what was wrong with it but its back to normal -
Inappropriate?Yes i am having the same problem. I changed my username last night. Now when i log in it's my old username but then when I click on profile it says page does not exist. Then when i try to go into settings to change it to the name that I want it says it's already taken
