Updates not working completely!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not getting updates from people I follow. I've checked and I'm supposed to be getting their updates. It is "on" but it is not being sent to my phone. Out of 14 followers I get half of the updates. Also, I only get half from certain people I'm following. Example, with gbrown977, if he sends 5 updates I'll get 3. How can I fix this?

Inappropriate?same problem - except i'm not getting ANY updates, not from folks i follow, no one. i tested my phone, and even sent a test tweet that was posted online. so outbound seems to be working, and inbound is not. i even got a reply went i sent a HELP message to 40404.

I suspect that your problem is rather different.
It's a good sign that you got a reply from your HELP message to 40404:
your phone is correctly set up, and a number of other things are working too.
I suggest you first try mdy's post
A few things have to be in place before Twitter will send updates to your phone.

- in particular, users who need Twitter's international SMS number:
All Twitter SMS to countries except Canada, India and the USA ended on Wednesday 13 Aug 2008 (Pacific Time).
SMS from the affected countries still reach Twitter.

Users affected by this change may like to know I've suggested to Twitter that they implement (non-SMS) instant notification via ping calls.
If such an interim solution would help, please indicate your support there.
