I'm trying out the new theme Vigilance, because I think the options are really neat. However, I'm quite disappointed because localisation seems incomplete. See http://www.flickr.com/photos/bunny/33...
I suspect that the fact I cannot change "Search" to "Recherche" could be fixed by adapting the Search widget. It looks pretty bad when the search box on a French site is in English.
Please add support for sharing music and audio through the soundcloud.com widget. Since it's arguably the only widget that's focused 100% on music it's really important for music bloggers and artists who are using wordpress.com.
should be a short code like [soundcloud track|set=mytrackid]
I realise that Wordpress already use Google Analytics to monitor the site at a higher level, but this means that users can't now use this tool to monitor their own sites - which is a pity.
I find the web analytics on Wordpress.com limited. It would be great if you could provide some alternative tools that customers can use.
The only info about blogger and wordpress that I've found has stated that I either need to:
1. Customize my Blogger/Wordpress so that the blogging site looks like my site. or
2. Put the blog on a separate page of my own personal site.
What I really want to do is take the entries from the blogger site and place them in a small spot on my website's homepage. Can anyone help me?
I'd like to customize my CSS with a template I found. The template requires that I ftp its directory tree into the wordpress directory of the site, but the only customization option I found is a form entry. Is this the only way to customize CSS? What about the custom images that go with CSS templates?
I am using Wordpress 2.6 I have installed the short-url plugin as instructed, and also added the code the the .htaccess file, but I am only getting a default Wordpress ‘Not Found, Error 404′ error when the link I've activated is clicked on my home page. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
I see that in a lot of other blogs, when you leave a comment, clicking on the commenter's name brings you to their blog. Why doesn't that happen with mine? Is it the theme I chose or something in the settings?
I recently bought a domain in which to carry on using my blog and I wish to use my new domain as the main blog. So, I was wondering if there was a way to set something so that anyone going to http://articulatedsky.wordpress.com would be forwarded to http://articulatedsky.com?
Thanks in advance for any help.
2. i just realized that registering a domain through wordpress is only $15. so since i registered through godaddy ($10) and had to buy credit on wordpress ($10) to register the domain, is there any way i can get this $5 back?
I am using the plug-in now with problems. it will not post my blogs to myspace or any other networking site and when i go on myspace i cant click on blog entry with out the page showing an error code http://www.myspace.com/healthyhairbea... is the site if you want to see it for yourself.
The problem comes when new users register on to the website - it promises them that it will send a confirmation email with the username and password but this email does not get sent out.
I, as administrator, don't also get notification emails saying when a new user signs up or when new comments are added for moderation.
I have two blogs with wordpress installed on them. I have redirected my feed to feedburner using the feedburner official plugin. Then, I created a Yahoo! pipe because I want an unique feed for my readers.
How can I make it to ensure my readers always subscribe to the Yahoo! pipe feed in any of my two blogs?
I am trying to sort an issue with outgoing trackbacks and pingbacks and wonder if someone could give me a definitive answer to this question from my hosting company...
"If Wordpress creates loopback connections during the process of trackbacks/pingbacks, then there is no way around this unfortunately. It might be worth contacting Wordpress to confirm this."
Possible confirmation from someone who has installed Wordpress in a shared hosting scenario would be great!
