I'm happy to report that we released first version of our Chrome extension yesterday and can be found here.
It's rough and doesn't work with webmail, but we expect to iron out kinks in next few days.

Inappropriate?Yes, we are. As soon as Google adds Extension support so we can actually do something.
Until then, you can use Zemanta with Chrome if you're running it as a plugin on your own Wordpress, Movable Type or Drupal.
